Workshop on Discrete Mathematics and Data Mining

The workshop will be held within the framework of the Third SIAM
International Conference on Data Mining, which will take place in San
Francisco, CA, from May 1-3, 2003. It will be jointly sponsored by
SIAM, and by the Working Group 7.4 on Discrete Optimization of the
International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). This
Workshop follows the extremely successful Workshop held last year
within the Second SIAM International Conference on Data Mining, co-
sponsored also by the WG 7.4 of IFIP, which attracted a large
enthusiastic participation. The selected thoroughly refereed papers
of that Workshop are being prepared now for publication as a special
issue of Discrete Applied Mathematics.
