Operations researchers have made great strides in helping health care providers, but less well known is the work being done on behalf of patients. Stanford's Stefanos Zenios, the Editor-in-Chief of the INFORMS flagship journal Operations Research, is also the creator of an NIH-funded website to help patients with kidney disease make important medical choices. Hear him, along with Constantia Petrou of Konnectology, as they discuss their application of O.R. to patient decision making.
