The Chapters/Fora Committee will present the winners of the Student Chapter Annual Awards and the Judith Liebman Awards. Join us to recognize the great contributions of our most dynamic student volunteers. Plan to stay for the Student Reception, which immediately follows the ceremony. This event is also open to all students. Come relax after a busy day of sessions and mingle with fellow students from universities around the world.

The journal Service Science was brought under the auspices of INFORMS in 2012. Consistent with INFORMS policy, we are conducting a full search for the next editor-in-chief of Service Science. All members of INFORMS are invited to participate in this process. The committee seeks opinions on the current state of the journal and recommendations for change, as well as suggestions and nominations of candidates for editor-in-chief. Further information can be found here. The nominations deadline is October 31, 2012.

Meeting Registration and Membership Renewal
INFORMS members can register for the meeting and renew their 2013 membership dues at the same time, either online or by phone.
Online: Click here to go to the meeting registration page and once registered, click on the "Continue Shopping" button to go to the Self-Service Menu. Then click on the menu item for "Renew or Add Items." You will be provided with the option to renew "as is" or to make changes to your membership options. All items will appear in your shopping cart.

INFORMS TV - Another New Feature
Tune in to INFORMS TV during the meeting to catch the latest conference highlights, enjoy "behind the scenes" interviews with meeting speakers and INFORMS leaders, and hear reactions and interviews with attendees like you. Each day's broadcast will combine coverage of conference events with "thought leadership" segments that feature eight different organizations. The overall goal of INFORMS TV is to raise the visibility of best practices in OR/MS, as well as to highlight collaborations between diverse institutions including research institutions, universities, and private sector organizations.

New Member Welcome & Annual Meeting Orientation Session

A Memorial Celebration of the life and career of Paul Gray, the long-time INFORMS member and leader and Professor Emeritus at Claremont Graduate University, will be held this Saturday, September 8, at 2pm. Congratulations to Sanjay Ahire of the University of South Carolina. Ahire has earned the Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. He joins fewer than 50 industry professionals nationwide who have attained that level of certification.
