In Memoriam, Robert C. Carlson

INFORMS' administration, staff, and membership extend their condolences to the family of INFORMS member Robert C. Carlson, who passed away on September 6 after a struggle against cancer. The Ph.D. advisor of INFORMS members Anne Robinson, Candi Yano, and others, the Stanford professor of management science and engineering is remembered by his colleagues as a leading thinker in production and manufacturing and as a former department chair who was welcomed across the United States and Europe as an educator and advisor.
