Inaugural UPS George D. Smith Prize Receives 17 Applicants

2012 UPS George D. Smith Prize Chair Bob Smith of Monmouth University reports he has received 17 quality applications for the inaugural award. The Smith Prize strengthens ties between academia and industry by rewarding institutions of higher education for effective and innovative preparation of students to be good practitioners of operations research, management science or analytics. The Prize will be bestowed at the 2012 Analytics Conference in Huntington Beach, California.
