MidWest ISO Wins 2011 Edelman Award
| The 2011 Franz Edelman competition for excellence in OR/MS practice was held during the INFORMS practice conference, in Chicago Illinois. Six finalists, including two from outside the USA, gave strong presentations to report superior successes. The judges concluded their deliberations by naming the winner of the first-place award to be MidWest ISO, which introduced a centralized wholesale energy market in the Midwest USA, improved efficiency and reliability of the power grid and unlocked billions in savings by using OR tools. IBM Wins 2010 Wagner Prize
The paper, "OnTheMark: Integrated Stochastic Resource Planning of Human Capital Supply Chains," presented by IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center won the 2010 Daniel H. Wagner Prize for Excellence in Operations Research Practice. For more, go here
