Call for Papers and Presentations
The INFORMS Computing Society (ICS) solicits papers and presentations for its twelfth conference on the interface of computer science, artificial intelligence, operations research, and management science. The conference organizers invite you to submit theoretical and applied work that highlights the conference theme: Operations Research, Computing and Homeland Defense. Areas of special interest for this conference include, but are not limited to, infrastructure protection, infectious-disease modeling, sensors, syndromic surveillance, and interdiction. Other interest areas include design and analysis of algorithms, mathematical programming, heuristic search and learning, modeling languages, parallel and distributed computing, simulation, and computational logic. Work that focuses on new or novel applications in the interface of computer science, operations research/management science and homeland defense are especially welcome.
Presentation Submissions
Papers and abstracts may be submitted for presentation at the conference. An abstract of less than 200 words—please do not use formulas, references or abbreviations—should be submitted through the conference submission page at http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ics2011. Names of all authors and affiliations should be provided, with the presenting author listed first. If a paper is not included then the abstract will be considered for presentation. An accepted presentation will have its corresponding abstract printed in the conference program.
Papers for the Conference Volume
A volume of peer-reviewed papers will be published for distribution at the conference, or soon thereafter; abstracts submitted for presentation will not appear in this volume. Papers submitted for the conference volume must describe original work that has not been published previously and must not have been submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers accepted for the conference volume must be presented at the conference.
Submission Instructions
Abstracts and papers should be submitted through the conference submission page at http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ics2011. There is no predefined style that must be followed for initial submission of papers, but papers must be submitted as with PDF files. Papers accepted for the conference volume will need to be submitted in LaTeX or MS Word that will be converted to LaTeX during production. These LaTeX style files will be used to format papers in the conference volume:
