2013 INFORMS Computing Society Conference

ICS2013

Overview

The 13th INFORMS Computing Society Conference (ICS) will take place January 6th - 8th, 2013, at the Eldorado Hotel and Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. The INFORMS Computing Society is the INFORMS society addressing the interface of Operations Research and computing.

This conference focuses on the interface between computer science, artificial intelligence, operations research, and management science. The conference organizers invite you to submit theoretical and applied work relating to this interface. We further solicit research that addresses the 2013 conference theme: Modeling and Analytics for the Real World.

We are very excited to host the 13th ICS conference in Santa Fe! Visiting Santa Fe - the oldest US capital - is a truly unique experience, due in large part to the amazing influence of Native American culture. Santa Fe simultaneously offers world-class art museums and galleries, architecture, dining, spas, shopping, and even opera! Skiing and snowboarding is nearby, as are excellent hiking and related outdoor activities. Nestled at the southern end of the Sangre de Cristo (literally "Blood of Christ", named by the Spanish due to their unique coloring) Mountains, Santa Fe scenic vistas surpass - at least in some minds - the art the city is perhaps better-known for.

We are also pleased to announce that the conference reception will be hosted at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. Georgia O'Keeffe is an internationally known artist, with very strong connections to the people and places of northern New Mexico.
