2013 INFORMS Computing Society Conference

ICS2013

Call for Papers and Presentations

The INFORMS Computing Society (ICS) solicits papers and presentations for its thirteenth conference. ICS is focused on contributions at the interface of computer science, artificial intelligence, operations research, and management science. The conference organizers invite submissions discussing novel theoretical and applied research consistent with the ICS focus. We especially encourage submissions targeting this year's conference theme: Modeling and Analytics for the Real World. Areas of special interest include:

  • Modeling Languages and Systems
  • Uncertainty Analysis
  • Resiliency and Robustness
  • Multi-Objective and Multi-Criteria Analysis
  • Decision-Support
  • Large-Scale Systems Analysis

Other interest areas relating to the ICS focus areas include:

  • Design and Analysis of Algorithms
  • Heuristic Search and Learning
  • Computational Probability and Analysis
  • Constraint Programming and Hybrid Optimization
  • Knowledge and Data Management
  • Simulation
  • Solvers
  • Telecommunications and Electronic Commerce
  • Applications in Biology, Medicine, and Health Care

The main conference will begin on Sunday, January 6. On January 5, the organizers will host the CooprFest 2013 workshop - details to follow!

Presentation-Only Submissions

An abstract of no more than 200 words should be submitted through the submission page at h. Names and affiliations of all authors should be provided, with the presenting author listed first. All accepted presentation-only abstracts will be printed in the conference program.

Papers for the Conference Volume

A volume of peer-reviewed papers will be published for distribution at the conference. The volume will be published by INFORMS. Presentation-only abstracts will not appear in this volume. Papers submitted for the conference volume must describe original work that has not been previously published and has not been submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers accepted for the conference volume must be presented at the conference. There is no pre-defined page limit. However, papers will be judged based on their contribution relative to their length.

Submission Instructions

Talk abstracts and papers should be submitted through the conference submission page at http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ics2013. Papers must be submitted as PDF files, formatted either using or consistent with the LaTeX style files available from: http://informs.org/content/download/146615/1550105/file/ics-2013-authorstyles.zip. Papers accepted for the conference volume will need to be submitted in LaTeX or MS Word, and will be converted to LaTeX during volume production.
