The 2011 CUMW award winners are Toni Sorrell of the Virginia Commonwealth University, Zhang Si of the National University of Singapore, and Juan Li of Columnbia University.

In order to cultivate the interest and encourage the participation of underrepresented minorities and women in the field of simulation, the INFORMS Simulation Society is proud to award sponsorships to assist graduate students from these population groups in the costs of attending Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) each year. In 2010, each awardee received an honorarium of $500.00. The CUMW committee is looking forward for more high-quality applications for the coming 2012 WSC meeting.
