Title: Revenue Management and Price Optimization Specialist (Cary, NC)

 

As a member of the research and development team you will design, develop, and support forecasting and estimation tools and processes for complex and large-scale revenue management and price optimization problems in the hospitality industry.

 

Duties include utilizing existing SAS forecasting, estimation, and data manipulation tools to solve these complex problems; designing and developing new processes, heuristics, and algorithms; collaboration with other members of the development, testing, and product management teams with an understanding of the business requirements; keeping abreast of analytical developments and trends in this area; and performing other duties as assigned.

 

Essential

  • Ph.D. in Econometrics, Economics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience in applied econometric and time series modeling methodology and forecast process development
  • Experience in software development

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent ability to identify and proactively solve problems

Preferences

  • Significant experience with price optimization and revenue management concepts
  • Minimum two years of experience in commercial software development
  • Extensive knowledge of the SAS System, together with excellent SAS programming skills
  • Experience and knowledge with SAS forecasting and estimation procedures, especially with products SAS/ETS, SAS/STAT, SAS/HPF
  • Experience working in a software team environment and with remote development teams
