Title: Pricing Analyst
Position Description:
The Pricing Analyst is expected to execute the local pricing strategies of each company owned market relative to competitive landscape, yield management, and seasonal trends. Through regular reporting and frequent communications with the field staff and senior management this position will be expected to make recommendations for pricing at the facility level based off of data collection and data analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor competitive pricing landscape of all company facilities (presently 33) on a daily/ weekly basis
- Validate from data collection and execute the company pricing strategy within each company owned facility
- Monitor and make recommendations based on data for the company owned Zip Code Serviceability Areas
- Validate, prepare, and distribute Weekly Pricing Analysis to facilities, RVP’s, and Senior Management
- Validate, prepare, and distribute Weekly Order Conversion Analysis by vertical by facility to facilities, RVP’s, and Senior Management
- Daily/ Weekly communication with Market Managers and RVP’s relative to their local pricing strategies
- Complete daily/ weekly updates to the facility pricing for all company owned facilities
- Constantly monitor facility pricing against variables such as yield management and seasonality
- Make recommendations of pricing strategy based off of data collection relative to “Promotional Offers” and “Seasonal Specials”
- Make recommendations of pricing strategy based off of data collection and research into competitors pricing schemes
- Create protocols to test different pricing schemes such as “bundled pricing”, daily storage rates, etc.
Prerequisites:
- Four year degree, preferably in finance, statistics or accounting.
- Prior experience in pricing analysis; preferably in household goods or a logistics industry
- Proven track record of successful pricing strategy management
- Proven track record of managing pricing and improving top line revenue
- Proven ability to work independently and proactively
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products; to include excel, word, outlook, etc.
