Title: Operations Research Specialist - Revenue Management and Price Optimization 10001754 and 10001755

 

Description

 

As a member of a software research and development team you will design, develop, and support optimization software for complex and large-scale revenue management and price optimization problems.

 

Duties include designing, developing and implementing new heuristics and algorithms, utilizing existing SAS optimization tools whenever possible; collaborating with other members of development and testing teams, and working with product management to get an understanding of business requirements; keeping abreast of analytical developments and trends in the revenue management and price optimization area; and performing other duties as assigned by your management.

 

Qualifications

 

Essential

  • Ph.D. in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or related quantitative field

Additional

  • Excellent programming skills (preferably in C)
  • Strong knowledge of revenue management and price optimization concepts
  • Strong knowledge of general operations research and optimization concepts
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent analytical problem solving skills

Preferences

  • Experience in commercial software development
  • Extensive knowledge of the SAS System, together with excellent SAS programming skills
  • Experience working in a software team environment and with remote development teams
  • Experience working with a large team of experts from varied academic backgrounds
