Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a full time Decision Support Manager to join our Revenue Management Team. Reporting to the Director of Revenue, you will develop and implement strategic plans for our travel products. You will manage profitability through careful analysis of booking and cancellation patterns, effectiveness of restrictions and other selling strategies.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic inventory management actions for travel product lines. Responsible for managing profitability through careful analysis of booking and cancellation patterns, effectiveness of restrictions and other selling strategies and future turndowns.
- Use mathematical optimization techniques and statistical analysis to identify revenue opportunities and risks and make recommendations.
- Work closely with pricing to develop coordinated revenue management strategies and tactics.
- Support enhancements and future development of revenue management system and processes.
- Work closely with IT to maintain and enhance yield management decision support system.
- Identify revenue opportunities and risks and make recommendations on future travel package offerings.
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics
- One to two years experience in mathematics, statistics, or revenue management, preferably in a travel organization
- Excellent IT Skills; Oracle, SQL server, PL/SQL, Familiarity with Hyperion (Brio, Essbase) a plus
- Ability to understand and communicate the importance of maximizing revenue and revenue generating activities;
- Thorough understanding of industry revenue issues
- Flexibility and sense of urgency, ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
- Highly detailed orientated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
