SENIOR MANAGER MARKET TEAMS

The Senior Manager Market Teams works within the Revenue Management department leading the Pricing and Revenue Optimisation team by setting strategic direction for planning of demand for current and future seasons. This senior management role is responsible for providing leadership and change management necessary to realize Qatar Airways' objective to fully deploy Origin & Destination (O&D) based demand forecasting, Real time Dynamic Pricing (RTDP) and regression based pricing decision support.

As the leader of sales-facing market teams, the Senior Manager Market Teams will ensure that constructive and collaborative relationship between sales and revenue management. It is necessary for this role to be able to establish a work atmosphere that combines analytics and process rigour necessary for effective revenue management with the commercial awareness and sensibility.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

- Over 7 relevant working experience in Revenue Management, 7 years of which in a management role

- Education up to degree level in economics, operations research, mathematics, computer science, engineering, finance. Graduate degree is strongly preferred.

- Strong management and leadership capabilities

- Extensive experience using Revenue Management Forecasting and Optimisation systems (e.g. PROS O&D, Sabre Airmax). Experience using Origin & Destination concept is strongly preferred.

- Experience using Pricing systems (e.g. LH Systems ProfitLine\Price, Sabre Airprice).

- Experience in Pricing concepts and Dynamic Pricing approaches desirable.

- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, advanced problem solving capabilities.

- Solid understanding of commercial processes required by an international network carrier, including network planning, sales & distribution, marketing, loyalty management, etc.

- Strong commercial sensibility i.e. ability to presuppose basic market requirements and functioning such that rapid decisions can be made and efficiently implemented.
