Synopsis:

The primary role of a Revenue & Inventory Manager is to maximize revenue on each escorted tour through a combination of pricing and inventory actions, while constantly reacting to competitor activity and market trends. We’re looking for a candidate with revenue management experience preferably in both the academic and business world to join our revenue management team. The candidate would also manage our inventory of tour departure dates; assigning new inventory where necessary, closing inventory where it’s not needed.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Management Science / Operations Research / Mathematics / Engineering or a similar discipline with advanced mathematical content.
  • Excellent computer science skills including programming, database and systems analysis.
  • Possession and demonstration of the key competencies outlined below.

Key Competencies / Experience:

  • Work experience with revenue management systems OR Ph.D. degree in Revenue Management.
  • Excellent analysis capabilities and the ability to extract and manipulate data to produce relevant information on all industry KPIs.
  • Experience with management science/operations research techniques.
  • Focused attitude to work, highly detailed driven, and the ability to constantly meet deadlines while ensuring high levels of accuracy.
  • Experience with spreadsheet, word processing and presentation packages.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a genuine interest in the travel industry.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in a similar position within the aviation, hotel or similar industry.
