INFORMS Revenue Management and Pricing Section Practice Award
Call for Submissions: The RM&P Section Prize Award 2011
The RM&P Section Practice Award recognizes outstanding applications of revenue management and pricing techniques. Initial submissions are due by April 1, 2011. The final competition for the award will take place live, at the INFORMS Revenue Management and Pricing Conference held at Columbia University, New York, NY from June 22-24. Finalists will present their work during a special session of the conference, and judging will take place immediately after the presentations. The winner will be announced during a prize ceremony at the conference.
The 1st-prize winner and finalists will be selected based on their impact, originality, and technical merit. Members of the prize committee are Brenda Barnes (Brenda A. Barnes, LLC), Darius Walczak (PROS), Loren Williams (Predictix), and Peiling Wu (General Motors).
Submission Timetable

April 1, 2011: Initial submissions due.
The initial submission should be a 3-6 page description of the work and its impact. The submission should summarize the problem, the solution approach, and the results. In particular, the submission should describe how the work is innovative, and should provide evidence of the work’s impact on your organization or a client’s organization. June 6, 2011: Finalist presentations due.
Each finalist will submit an electronic version of the presentation that they will deliver at the RM&P conference. The presentation slides may be accompanied by supporting material, such as notes on each slide or an appendix with more detailed documentation of impact. - June 22-24, 2011: Finalist presentations, judging and award ceremony at the INFORMS RM&P Conference.
Eligibility
Anyone may submit except members of the judging committee. Any work from any industry, completed within the past 3 years, is eligible. Questions about the application procedure should be sent to robert.shumsky@dartmouth.edu.
