The challenge in modern medical decision making is to bring together complex data in a rational way that addresses clinical and economic concerns. We address this challenge in stroke prevention by applying a comprehensive model of stroke. This model integrates epidemiological studies, randomized clinical trials, administrative data and patient utilities for health outcomes.
