Analyzing Profit Opportunities
How much can you expect to sell of a new product? What should the price be? What will the cash flows be? These types of questions are traditionally answered in a very subjective way when it comes to new products with no prior sales history, however, a more rigorous OR approach has proven to give good results. The presentation includes examples of how to develop models that based on data from other markets and other products can help us answer the questions mentioned above and identify which factors are most important in driving profits. Case studies based on actual market data will be discussed.
