Numerous publications in operations research. Former Member of the ORSA Council, Secretary of ORSA, Editor of Operations Research, Vice-President of ORSA, President of ORSA, Past-President of ORSA and President of the International Federations of Operational Research Societies (IFORS). Past-President of IFORS, 1992-94. Vice President of Publications of INFORMS. Served on numerous ORSA, TIMS and INFORMS committees. Recipient of the Larnder Prize in Operations Research (Canadian OR Society) and the Kimball Medal and President's Award (INFORMS).
