Why Johnny's Optimization Doesn't Run
Our discipline is losing its effectiveness to bad software and information. The problem is deeper than programming entomology and data integrity; we are increasingly failing to communicate our customer's needs to the computer community at a more fundamental level. I have some ideas of how we can do this job as well as we used to do it or even do it better. This talk is likely to annoy Post-Modern Computer Science majors.
