Communities are a great place to start in your career volunteering with INFORMS. Communities are smaller scale with less members but many have the same broad range of products and services as INFORMS. Volnteers are needed to organize meetings, assist with newsletters and websites, and help develop tracks of learning.

Most volunteers who help with INFORMSCommunities have followed this path:

  • Join a Community
  • Attend a meeting
  • Speak at a meeting
  • Help organize a meeting agenda and handle logistics
  • Write for the newsletter
  • Help organize overall publication of newsletter
  • Write for the website
  • Help organize and publish overall website
  • Help develop tracks of learning at INFORMS meetings in specialized areas
  • Become an officer of the Community
  • Become a liaison for many Communities
  • Become VP of Communities
