Publications Roadmap
A steady pool of volunteers are needed to help plan, review, and produce INFORMS highly regarded suite of publications, including journals, books, databases, CDs and DVDs. The society peer review process is especially critical to INFORMS producing impactful journals and other publications that disseminate OR/MS knowledge to the overall community.
Most volunteers who help guide INFORMS journals have followed this path:

- Participate in the peer review process as an author
- Become a reviewer of submitted journal articles
- Become a associate editor responsible for a category of journal articles
- Become a department editor responsible for a journal department
- Become a special issue editor
- Become editor in chief
