Students Roadmap
There are numerous ways for students to volunteer with INFORMS to help further their educational and career goals. There is no better way to develop your organizations and leadership skills. Volunteers are needed at the student chapter level, to help with meeetings, to work on the INFORMS web site, and to assist with social networking initiatives.
Most students who volunteer for INFORMS activities have followed this path:
- Join an existing student chapter
- Help form a new student chapter
- Help organize student chapter meetings and outings
- Assist with OR/MS outreach and recruitment efforts at the university level
- Attend and speak at an INFORMS meeting
- Serve as a session monitor at INFORMS meetings
- Organize student social functions at INFORMS meeting
- Compete for and win a student award at an INFORMS meeting
- Help write and edit the student magazine, OR/MS Tomorrow
