Membership in Analytics Section of INFORMS continues to grow

Membership in the Analytics Section of INFORMS grew to more than 900 members as of October, an 80 percent increase from October 2011. The jump in membership was driven partly by introductory memberships, some of which will drop off next year, but the growth rate is steady for retained members and members who decided to join after the introductory period.
The Section plans to expand its membership by continuing the current model, as well as extending its reach to the broader analytics community. The value proposition of the Section will continue to develop and grow as it leverages the benefits of membership in the Section as well as INFORMS as a whole.
