INFORMS News: Austin meeting sets record

The 2010 INFORMS Annual Meeting held in Austin, Texas, Nov. 7-10 drew a record 4,661 total registrants, according to INFORMS Interim Executive Director and Meetings Director Terry Cryan. The attendance eclipsed the 4,629 mark set by the 2008 meeting in Washington, D.C. The 2009 conference in San Diego, Calif., attracted 4,239 total registrants.

Total registrants includes paid and complimentary attendees, plus exhibit personnel.

The Austin meeting also set a record for paid registrants with 4,486, compared to 4,031 in San Diego last year and 4,449 for the 2008 meeting in Washington.
