INFORMS News: Pulleyblank wins Morse Lectureship Award

William Pulleyblank, a professor at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the former vice president of the Center for Business Optimization at IBM, received the Philip McCord Morse Lectureship Award at the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Charlotte, N.C. In presenting the award, committee member George Nemhauser noted that the Lectureship is awarded to senior members of the O.R. community who “give great talks on important topics.”

The Lectureship is named in honor of Phillip McCord Morse, a pioneer in the field of OR/MS. Along with a $2,000 honorarium and $5,000 in travel funds for the two-year term, the recipient will deliver a lecture at a future INFORMS Annual Meeting.
