INFORMS News: Call for Papers: WSC 2012
The 2012 Winter Simulation Conference (WSC 2012) will be held Dec. 9-12 in Berlin, Germany, at the InterContinental Berlin, located in the heart of the city in the triangle formed by the Kurfürstendamm Boulevard, the government quarter and Potsdamer Platz. The Berlin Zoo and Berlin’s largest park, the Tiergarten, are just around the corner.
WSC is the premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of dynamic systems modeling and simulation. In addition to a technical program of unsurpassed scope and quality, WSC provides the central meeting place for simulation practitioners, researchers and vendors. Research in modeling and simulation is propelled by fostering cross-fertilization between various disciplines.
The theme for WSC 2012 is “Winter Simulation Goes Europe,” reflecting the fact that this is the first time WSC has been held outside North America. WSC 2012 will also incorporate the MASM (Modeling and Analysis for Semiconductor Manufacturing) Conference, the leading modeling and analysis conference for global semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain operations. A Ph.D. colloquium, poster session and tutorials that provide background on established and new methods, tools and application domains will round out the program.
April 2 is the deadline for contributed papers not previously published or presented. Complete paper deadlines and requirements are available at www.wintersim.org. For additional information, go to www.wintersim.org, or contact General Chair Oliver Rose (oliver.rose@unibw.de) or Program Chair Adelinde Uhrmacher (lin@informatik.uni-rostock.de).
