Moving Spirit Award

Feryal Erhun was awarded the Forum Moving Spirit for her involvement in the Junior Faculty Interest Group, including serving as treasurer and president. As one of the original board members for JFIG in 2001,Erhun also helped establish the forum and the reputation of its Paper Competition.

Recognition:
Changqing Cheng served as webmaster, treasurer and president of the Oklahoma State University Student Chapter over the course of three years. He organized field trips to local companies, helping his chapter to win the Cum Laude award for student chapters three times. After stepping down as President, he remained involved by mentoring student officers.
Laila Cure has been involved with the University of South Florida Student Chapter since 2006 in the roles of secretary, president, and newsletter editor. She initiated the chapter’s lecture series and is an active participant in the chapter’s community service program, teaching math and science to low-income children.
Anurag Verma has been involved in the Texas A&M University Student Chapter for three years. During his term as president, the chapter was recognized as Organization of the Year by Texas A&M. He led the chapter in organizing seminars, workshops, panel discussions, service projects, and social events, and grew membership to more than 160 students.
