About the Community
Purpose: The purpose of INFORM-ED is to provides publications, workshops, conference sessions, resources, and networking opportunities for individuals interested in the teaching of operations research and the management sciences at institutions of higher education. INFORM-ED encourages discussion, interaction, and dissemination regarding education and the relationship of teaching to the profession of operations research and the management sciences
Newsletter: Published 5 times per year, distributed via email. Has information on education initiatives, publishing outlets, workshops, software, and other topics of interest.
OR/MS Today Column: INFORM-ED sponsors the Issues in Education column in OR/MS Today. The editor is Matt Drake (e-mail: drake987@duq.edu).
Meetings: Business meeting with refreshments at INFORMS national meetings, Teaching Management Science summer workshop series, INFORMS Teaching Colloquium, and Education Track at INFORMS national meetings.
Awards: Annual Case Competition
