About the Community
The INFORMS - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Student Chapter was chartered in 2011. The chapter is active and meets regularly every week on the UWM campus. The chapter seeks to promote its members’ interest in the field of Operation Research and Management Sciences by encouraging them to actively participate in seminars, discussions, lectures, research and non-research activities as well as networking.
Our activities enable members go beyond the bounds of course work and institution as they engage in academic and research activities that lay the foundation for their future as OR/MS professionals. They provide members with forums for sharing information, learning new skills and tools in the profession, and discovering programs and opportunities available for exploitation for their benefit as future OR/MS professionals. The membership cuts across disciplines and includes both graduate and undergraduate students.
