About the Community
The Virginia Tech Student Chapter (Engineering School) is active.
The chapter provides a forum for social and academic interaction for students with interests in Operations Research and the Management Sciences. The chapter does so through hosting weekly seminars with informal presentations given by Faculty and PhD students from various departments across campus as well as researchers from industry. The chapter seeks promote interest in OR and MS research especially among undergraduate students and is excited to sponsor the first annual Industrial and Systems Engineering Undergraduate Research Symposium to provide a forum for undergraduates to present their work to faculty, graduate students and peers.
Awards: Various undergraduate research symposium awards
Meetings: Weekly lunch seminars open to all with pizza and drinks provided
