Decision Analysis Special Recognition Award

The new “Decision Analysis Special Recognition Award” will be given annually for the paper most worthy of recognition published in the Decision Analysis Journal for the current year, starting with 2012. The 2012 winner will be announced by March 2013, and will be awarded a plaque by the award committee (Robin-Dillon Merrill (chair), Casey Lichtendahl, Jack Soll, Barry Cobb, and Matthias Seifert).

The criteria for the paper most worthy of special recognition will be:
1) the paper is foundationally based on decision analysis
2) the paper makes an important contribution to theory and/or practice
3) the paper is broadly interesting and influential to a wide portion of decision analysis community
