Elena Karahanna
Elena Karahanna is Professor of MIS at the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia. She holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota with specializations in Organization Theory and Organizational Communication, and B.S. in Computer Science and MBA degrees from Lehigh University. Her current research interests include the acceptance of information technologies in organizations, in B2C e-commerce, and in healthcare; IS leadership; and cross-cultural issues. Her work has been published in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Information Systems Research, Management Science, MIS Quarterly, Organization Science, and elsewhere. She currently serves as senior editor at Information Systems Research and as associate editor at Management Science. She has served as senior editor at MIS Quarterly and the Journal of AIS and on the editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, the European Journal of Information Systems, and others.
