Gediminas Adomavicius
Gediminas (Gedas) Adomavicius is currently an associate professor of
Information and Decision Sciences at the Carlson School of Management,
University of Minnesota. He received the PhD degree in Computer Science from New York University. His research focuses on: personalization technologies and recommender systems, data mining and knowledge discovery, and complex electronic market mechanisms, such as combinatorial and multiattribute auctions. His research has been published in leading Information Systems and Computer Science journals, including Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, ACM Transactions on Information Systems, INFORMS Journal on Computing, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, and Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery. He serves on the editorial boards of Information Systems Research and INFORMS Journal on Computing, and has also served on program committees of numerous conferences. In 2006, he received the U.S. National Science Foundation CAREER award for his research on personalization technologies.
