Robert Fichman

Rob Fichman is Professor of IS in the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. His main research stream examines the IT adoption, diffusion and implementation IT innovations. He has published broadly on these and other topics in CACM, California Management Review, Decision Sciences Journal, Harvard Business Review, IEEE Computer, Information Systems Research, Journal of AIS, Management Science, MIS Quarterly, Sloan Management Review and other scholarly journals. Dr. Fichman holds BS and MS degrees in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to getting his PhD, he worked for several years as an IS applications development manager for a leading telecommunications company, and as an IT industry consultant.
