Jim Lowe
Dr. James K. Lowe is an Associate Professor of Management and Operations Research (OR) in the Department of Management at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is the curriculum chair of the OR curriculum. Research interests focus on the development and application of decision analysis within organizations. He consults with a variety of public, private, and service organizations. Teaching interests focus on the application of theoretical principles to solve operational problems. Thus, his courses emphasize the development of decision analysis and decision making skills.
Dr. Lowe's work appears in the European Journal of Operational Research, INFORM-ED, Phalanx, Naval Comptroller and Armed Forces Comptroller. He received his MS and PhD in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology; and his BS in Civil Engineering from the USAir Force Academy. He served 21 years as an Air Force officer.
