Jill Hardin
Jill Hardin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistical Sciences and Operations Research at Virginia Commonwealth University. Jill received a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Kentucky, and an M.S. in Operations Research and a Ph.D. in Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization from Georgia Tech. Her research interests include integer programming and combinatorial optimization as well as the study of OR education. She has taught a wide variety of courses, from courses in teacher preparation to general education statistics to optimization for master’s students.
Jill has served INFORMS in a variety of ways, including as Chair of the INFORMS Computing Society Education Committee; Chair of the INFORMS Combined Colloquia; Vice-President of Programs for the INFORMS Forum on Education; and both President and Vice-President of Meetings for the INFORMS Forum on Women in OR/MS.
