Özgür Özlük

Özgür Özlük has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey (1994) and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1999). Upon completion of his doctoral degree, Dr. Özlük worked briefly for an airline consulting company in Austin Texas. In 2000, Dr. Özlük moved to San Francisco where he worked for a revenue management company for 2.5 years. Since 2002, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Decision Sciences within the College of Business at San Francisco State University.

Dr. Özlük is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), and the forum on Education (INFORM-ED). He is also the webmaster for SPRIG section of INFORMS - Spreadsheet Productivity Research Interest Group.

Dr. Özlük's teaching and research interests encompass business analytics, spreadsheet engineering, revenue management and practical applications of management science. He recently completed the first field research into end-user modeling, with two co-authors. His recent publications appear in Interfaces, European Journal of Operations Research and INFORMS Transactions on Education.
