ITE announces a new special issue on the teaching of service science.

In the last five years, many academic institutions have developed programs, courses, seminar series and student projects related to Service Science. Some of these have built upon established areas such as Service Operations Management and Service Marketing, while others such as Knowledge Services and Information Services are relatively new fields of study. Together they are often grouped under the broader framework of Service Science, Management and Engineering (SSME), and this special issue welcomes submissions relating to any of these topics. This ITE special issue focuses on presenting faculty experiences in the development and delivery of Service Science courses with emphasis on identifying best practices. ITE announces a new special issue dedicated to the memory of Paul A. Jensen, who was a member of the operations research and industrial engineering faculty at The University of Texas for over 35 years.

We are happy to announce that ITE is now listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (http://www.doaj.org).

The first part of the special issue on "Teaching Service and Retail Operations Management" was published in Volume 10(3). The second part will be published in Volume 11(1).
