Student Chapter Spotlight
On this Issue: Oklahoma State University
The INFORMS-OSU was established in 1998 and now become one of the most active student chapters on campus of Oklahoma State University. The objective of this student chapter is to encourage the interest in the field of OR/MS through discussions and interactions among members and other individuals who share the interest in these professions. The chapter hosts many popular activities among students, such as the brown bag seminars where students are speakers presenting their research related to OR/MS, and field trips that the student group are led by the faculty advisor to visit nearby industrial sites.
The INFORMS-OSU is always looking for career opportunities, professional skill enhancement, and social networking for the students. The chapter invites distinguished speakers in various fields to exchange information of the education program as well as the professional opportunities. Besides, the chapter also collaborates with many well-established companies to organize activities both on campus and out of town.
