Cooperation with companies

The chapter develops and keeps close relationship with the nearby corporations. Besides the routine activities such as seminar, job affair and field trip mentioned above, we exploit all possible means to strengthen the links. For example, we have our previous officer now working for the Wal-Mart, and he is enthusiastic in helping organize activities to introduce the company to the campus.

Cooperation with other student organizations

The chapter has many opportunities to cooperate with other student organizations such as IIE, ASQ and APM. In several occasions we have co-sponsored the IEM Distinguished Speaker Series seminars and field trips with them. The INFORMS officers are always active in helping their engagements, such as the welcome party of the IIE and initiative ceremony of the APM. And the INFORMS activities are also have helping hands readily available from them.

Connection with the Business School

The chapter headquarters in the School of Industrial Engineering and Management, but we have a firm ground in the Business School. We have a Business student as one of the vice-presidents, who are dedicated to promote the activities in his or her school. We have invited several professors from the Business School to give speeches, to expand the horizon of the audience to business-oriented area.
