Style Files
INFORMS production provides style files for latex, which can be obtained from the Author & Editor Downloads page. Authors should download them and make sure they can use them without problems as early as possible. If an author uses MS Word ©, it will be converted to LaTeX during production.
Guidelines for Authors (for book)
Each tutorial will be a chapter in the book, and each volume editor (the meeting tutorials chairperson) can decide the length (may vary from volume to volume).
Here are format requirements for each volume:
- Bibliography - use the TutORials bibtex style file (see template), and follow the formats given in bibexamples (also comes with download zip file).
- Number all figures and tables with captions placed above the figure or table. (Footnotes or source information can go below the figure or table.)
- Use references to the section in which a figure or equation appears (using \label and \pageref).
- Avoid using special packages in LaTeX (graphicx, url, amsmath and amssymb are included), and do not use pstricks.
- Consult the LaTeX templates for options, such as shorter titles for running heads.
When you submit your draft, please check the formatting and do the following:
- Check spelling and grammar.
- Check that every [sub-]section has more than one paragraph.
- Include all source files, including figures.
Authors — please consult the book editor for questions.
Editors — please consult the series editor for questions.
