Purpose of the Award

The purpose of this annual competition is to encourage the creation, dissemination, and classroom use of new cases in operations research and the management sciences. The recipient of First Prize shall receive $500.00 and a plaque; there will also be up to Three Runners-Up who shall receive $100.00 and a plaque. The competition is sponsored jointly by INFORM-ED, INFORMS' Education Committee, and the INFORMS' Case and Teaching Materials Initiative.
