Best Paper Award
Purpose of the Award
Starting in 2007, the annual M&SOM Best Paper Award recognizes the one paper, published in one of the prior three volumes of Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (M&SOM), as most deserving for its contribution to the theory and practice of operations management. From the set of nominated papers, the Editor of M&SOM selects the recipient of this award in consultation with the journal's panel of Associate Editors. The recipient of the award is announced at the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society's summer conference. A subsequent announcement is pubished in M&SOM along with the paper's abstract and a statement from the Editor highlighting the paper's contribution. The award is accompanied by a $2,000 honorarium.
