TSL Best Paper Award -- Application Process

A paper is eligible if it is written in English and if it has been published during the last three (3) years prior to the submission deadline. All topics related to the field of transportation science and logistics will be considered, including, but not being limited to:

- airline operations

- facility logistics

- freight

- intelligent transportation systems

- transit

- urban transportation planning methods

- vehicle routing

Any author must submit only one of his/her eligible papers, although (s)he can be a co-author of another submitted paper. A paper is eligible for the competition if:

- its main topic is related to the field of transportation science and logistics;

- it is written in English; and

- it has been published in a refereed journal between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2011.
The winning paper will be announced at the TSL business meeting to be held during the annual INFORMS meeting in Charlotte, NC, 13-16 November 2011. The authors of the winning paper will share a prize of $800, and each will receive a certificate.

To submit a paper for the 2011 competition, one of the authors must send the paper, along with a short letter (maximum 2 pages) describing the merits of the paper (both in electronic ADOBE PDF format) to the Chair of the TSL Best Paper Award Committee, Before July 1, 2011.
