Scholarships
Both of these new scholarships were created in 2002 to honor the work and commitment of Seth Bonder. Qualified applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. More information about deadlines and the specific requirements of each scholarship can be found by following the appropriate link below.
The two Bonder scholarships are:

Bonder Scholarship for Applied Operations Research in Military Applications
sponsored by the Military Applications Society of INFORMS. Doctoral candidates, particularly those at the beginning of their programs, with an interest in the application of process modeling and OR analyses to military issues are encouraged to apply. -
Bonder Scholarship for Applied Operations Research in Health Services
sponsored by the Health Applications Section of INFORMS. Doctoral candidates, particularly those at the beginning of their programs, with an interest in the application of process modeling and OR analyses to issues in health care design, delivery, or operations are encouraged to apply.
Boeing Scholarships/Assistantships
Assistantships - Ph.D. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Stipends for research and teaching assistantships (nine months/20 hours per week) are awarded on a competitive basis. Students typically receive $20,000 annually from an $18,000 stipend and a $2000 performance-based award. Educational fees and tuition are waived for graduate assistants.In addition, funds from the Boeing Company Scholars Program in Business at UMSL are used to supplement the stipends above. For 2009-2010 two Boeing scholarships are available for new entrants into the LSCM Ph.D. program.
Assistantships may be with or through the Center for Transportation Studies, the Center for Business & Industrial Studies, or with logistics & supply chain faculty in the College of Business Administration.
