Daniel Levinthal will complete his first three-year term as Organization Science editor in chief at the end of 2012. The president of INFORMS has appointed a committee to conduct a strategic review to understand the state of the journal, to identify new issues, new challenges and new ideas, and to listen to the journal’s customers. Organization Science has evolved to become one of the premier international journals in management and organization theory. Special Issue on "Cloud Computing as a Service"

Cloud computing is a new way of delivering computing services. The flexibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of cloud computing provides tremendous business opportunities to customers. This special issue provides a global forum for presenting research results on various aspects of cloud computing as a service. Special Issue on "Business Analytics"

Organizations today have access to enormous data sets, and sophisticated business analytical tools are needed to harness the tremendous potential of these data to improve day-to-day decision making. To encourage further developments in this rapidly growing area of interdisciplinary research, Management Science will publish a special issue dedicated to business analytics. John W. Chinneck will complete his second and final term as editor in chief of INFORMS Journal on Computing on December 31, 2012. The president of INFORMS has appointed a committee to conduct a search for the next editor in chief. All members of INFORMS are invited to participate in this process. Special Issue dedicated to Memory of Paul A. Jensen

Paul A. Jensen was a member of the operations research and industrial engineering faculty at The University of Texas for over 35 years. During that time, he devoted much of his attention to developing computer-based tools to ease the learning curve for those wishing to solve problems arising in operations research, industrial engineering, and operations management. His Microsoft Excel addins have been employed by hundreds of thousands of users and are freely available at http://www.ormm.net. The breadth and scope of their application is remarkable, with many academic departments adopting them as a foundational tool for their programs. This special ITE issue is dedicated to highlighting uses of such tools in teaching, in developing and analyzing case studies, and in practice. Special Issue on "Operations Research in Freight Transportation and Logistics"

This special issue, edited by Michael F. Gorman, University of Dayton, will publish studies focusing on the application of operations research techniques on freight transportation and logistics. Interfaces is soliciting papers that fall into one of these categories:
• An application with a verification letter from the organization using the results
• A novel literature review of operations research related to freight transportation and logistics
• A novel tutorial emphasizing the practical implementation of transportation and logistics systems

Stefanos Zenios

The INFORMS board has approved the appointment of Stefanos Zenios as the next Editor-in-Chief of Operations Research. This is his first term for the period of January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2014. He is a Charles A. Holloway Professor of Operations, Information, and Technology and Professor of Health Care Management at Stanford University.

J. Cole Smith

Has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of TutORials in Operations Research. He is currently a Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida.

Michel Gendreau

Michel Gendreau has been reappointed as Editor-in-Chief of the INFORMS journal Transportation Science. His second terms is for the period of January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2014.

Gerard Cachon

Gerard Cachon has been reappointed as Editor-in-Chief of the INFORMS journal Management Science. His second terms is for the period of January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2014.

Stephen C. Graves

Stephen C. Graves has been as Editor-in-Chief of the INFORMS journal Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (M&SOM). His second terms is for the period of January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2014
