Special Issue on "Service Mining: Market, Technology, and Application"
With the growth of the significant revenue of service industry around the world, service-dominant (SD) logic based service mining is worth investigating to help enterprises to gain and create values with customers. This special issue is to devote to the exploration from four dimensions across different disciplines with regard to the issue of mining “services” under Service Science. . The INFORMS board has approved the reappointment of Daniel A. Levinthal as Editor-in-Chief of Organization Science. This is his second term for the period of January 1, 2013 – December 31, 2015. He is the Reginald H. Jones Professor of Corporate Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
INFORMS Transactions on Education – New Editor-in-Chief
Armann Ingolfsson
The INFORMS board has approved the appointment of Armann Ingolfsson as the next Editor-in-Chief of INFORMS Transactions on Education. This is his first term for the period of January 1, 2013 – December 31, 2015. He is an associate professor of operations management and academic director of the Centre for Excellence in Operations at the University of Alberta School of Business.
Mathematics of Operations Research – New Editor-in-Chief
Jiangang (Jim) Dai
The INFORMS board has approved the appointment of Jiangang (Jim) Dai as the next Editor-in-Chief of Mathematics of Operations Research. This is his first term for the period of January 1, 2013 – December 31, 2015. He is Edenfield Professor at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology.
INFORMS Journal on Computing – New Editor-in-Chief
David L. Woodruff
The INFORMS board has approved the appointment of David L. Woodruff as the next Editor-in-Chief of INFORMS Journal on Computing. This is his first term for the period of January 1, 2013 – December 31, 2015. He is a professor of management at the Graduate School of Management, University of California, Davis.
Decision Analysis – New Editor-in-Chief
Rakesh Sarin
The INFORMS board has approved the appointment of Rakesh Sarin as the next Editor-in-Chief of Decision Analysis. This is his first term for the period of January 1, 2013 – December 31, 2015. He is the Paine Chair in Management at the UCLA Anderson School of Management (Decision, Operations & Technology Management).
Decision Analysis - First ISI Impact Factor
INFORMS is excited to announce that the journal Decision Analysis has received its first impact factor. Decision Analysis has an impact factor of 2.143 in the management category ranking it 38 out of 167 journals. Go to the website for the latest information on Decision Analysis.

Daniel Levinthal will complete his first three-year term as Organization Science editor in chief at the end of 2012. The president of INFORMS has appointed a committee to conduct a strategic review to understand the state of the journal, to identify new issues, new challenges and new ideas, and to listen to the journal’s customers. Organization Science has evolved to become one of the premier international journals in management and organization theory. Call for Papers: INFORMS Transactions on Education
Special Issue dedicated to Memory of Paul A. Jensen
Paul A. Jensen was a member of the operations research and industrial engineering faculty at The University of Texas for over 35 years. During that time, he devoted much of his attention to developing computer-based tools to ease the learning curve for those wishing to solve problems arising in operations research, industrial engineering, and operations management. His Microsoft Excel addins have been employed by hundreds of thousands of users and are freely available at http://www.ormm.net. The breadth and scope of their application is remarkable, with many academic departments adopting them as a foundational tool for their programs. This special ITE issue is dedicated to highlighting uses of such tools in teaching, in developing and analyzing case studies, and in practice.
