2008 Best Paper and Other Awards at ISR>> Beginning 2007, Information Systems Research has initiated awards for the best published paper and outstanding performance by reviewers and associate editors. The selections for the awards were made through nominations by the board members and finalized through discussions between the Senior Editors and the Editor-in-Chief. The awards were presented at the Conference on Information Systems and Technology (CIST) held in Washington D.C. in October, 2008.
ISR Improves SSCI impact factor>> Information Systems Research improves the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) impact factor score in the most recent edition of Journal Citation Report (JCR) from Thomson ISI. ISR is now included in both the "Management" and "Information and Library Science" sections of the rankings.
ISR Paper Wins Best Published Paper Award>> The research paper "From IT Leveraging Competence to Competitive Advantage in Turbulent Environments: The Case of New Product Development" by Paul Pavlou and Omar A. El. Sawy, published in September, 2006 issue of ISR, has recieved one of the five 'Best Published IS Paper' award. Selections were made by the AIS Best Paper Awards Committee. The award being presented the ICIS conference at Montreal in December 2007.
