The INFORMS MSOM Society and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) will hold the annual research conference on June 19-21 at the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington, Seattle. The program will include SIG meetings, the MSOM business lunch meeting, keynote speaker Russell Allgor (Amazon), and a general reception at the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field. Early Career Connection: Nomination Deadline February 14
This special program is designed for professionals who are new to their academic or industry careers. The program introduces participants to well-established researchers and practitioners to provide them with new perspectives into real-world analytics/O.R. problems. Accepted participants also benefit from a 60% discount on conference registration ($394). This year, the program is open to university faculty who completed their PhDs no earlier than 2008. The requirement for industry professionals is either a master's degree completed no earlier than 2008 plus three years' experience at the nominating company, or a PhD completed no earlier than 2008.

Abstracts received by May 15 will receive preference in scheduling. In recent years, the INFORMS Annual Meeting has grown significantly, making it difficult to accommodate all the talks submitted. It may be necessary to accept submissions in the order in which they are received if there is not sufficient capacity to schedule all the talks submitted by May 15. Therefore we encourage you to submit early, well before the May 15 deadline.

OR2014, the annual international conference of the German Operations Research Society (GOR), will take place in Aachen, Germany, September 2-5, 2014. The conference theme is business analytics and optimization. The organizers invite practitioners and academics from mathematics, computer science, and business/economics to celebrate with us an operations research fest. OR 2014 is currently accepting abstracts (1800 chars only) for presentations at the conference. The deadline is April 30, 2014. Notification of acceptance is around beginning of June, 2014.
